ABOUT LILLKA CUTTAREE
Lillka is an economist, gender expert, trainer, entrepreneur who enjoys shaping lives around her and accelerating social progress.
Bilingual French/English, she has built over 25 years very strong linkages with public and private sectors at high level in the African region, through open dialogue and facilitation, developing policies and growth strategies, devising innovative capacity building programs for public and business communities. Her highest position in the public sector was advisor to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, in charge of leading cultural and nation building related projects.
More recently, as a serial entrepreneur in the area of consulting and education for more than 10 years, she has been strongly involved on national initiatives related to gender policies, looking at the intersectionality with climate action, investment, trade and entrepreneurship, working with international donors and delivering a number of women leadership trainings, in partnership with global centers of excellence.
As a seasoned board director on non-profit institutions, she values the importance of social impact initiatives and is known nationally to be a strong voice in the area of DEI, women and girl’s empowerment and inclusive entrepreneurship. She is the founder of the Blossom Initiative to empower women and girls in the region and JKC Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to social inclusion through education and innovation in Mauritius.
Lillka holds a Master in Economics studies and Industrial Strategy from Paris Dauphine (France), a Master in Business Administration from Sciences Po Paris (France) and a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University (USA).
She contributes internationally extensively as a speaker, moderator or writer on subjects related to development economics, gender policy and entrepreneurship, corporate governance and ESG-related matters.
Lillka lives in Mauritius and is the proud mum of Meiya and Nash, studying at UC Berkeley (USA).
